Chuck Numbers represents policyholders and claimants in a wide array of high-stakes complex insurance coverage disputes nationwide and internationally. He specializes in matters arising from construction defect, cyber-liability, intellectual property, environmental and natural disasters. He also represents technology companies, public entities, homeowner associations and design professionals in Directors & Officers, Errors & Omissions and Employment coverage disputes. Chuck analyzes and strategically develops covered claims and negotiates with insurance carriers and counsel to maximize funds available for settlement or to satisfy judgments. This includes resolving disputes over defense, indemnity, allocation, and contribution; and increasing participation by carriers providing additional insured and contractual indemnity coverage. In his over 35 years of practice, Chuck has assisted clients in obtaining over $2 billion in insurance recoveries and has been central participant in resolving numerous bet the company disputes.
Chuck also serves as a mediator and is well respected for his ability to creatively work toward settling difficult matters. He is peer rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating, a fellow in the American College of Coverage Counsel, is a Superlawyer and frequently lectures nationwide on a wide array of insurance issues. Chuck is also a featured coverage expert for the Edwards Mediation Academy’s Advanced Mediation Course.
